Team names this season & selections for Sundays matches

All


We want to give the teams unique names this year rather than "1st 2nd etc". for example, Thunder, Lightning etc.

Amendments to the fixtures

All

The upcoming fixtures have been slightly changed. The first & second teams are away to Hunslet on Sunday whilst the 3rd team are at home to Rothwell Juniors.

On the 9th Oct, the first and second teams do not have a league match (may be a cup match, to be confirmed), the 3rd team are at home to Yorkshire Amateurs.

On the 16th Oct, the first and second teams are at home to Rothwell Juniors, the 3rd team travel to Kippax Athletic.

The 1st and 2nd team fixtures are found under the "Under 9's 2-team division A" filter and the 3rd team's fixtures are found under the "Under 9's single team division A" filter. Click on Rothwell Town's name when the league table is displayed to see a list of fixtures.

Results from 1st league weekend (25th Sept)

Hi all

Both the 1st and 2nd team's had a winning start to their league season vs Glen Juniors. the 1st team won 3-2 and the 2nd team won 1-0 with a winner from Byron Ward who was also man of the match.

The 3rd team started with a tough friendly away to North East Leeds and despite a shaky start, conceding 4 goals by half time, they stuck together and ended up with a 6-1 loss, Harry Worker scoring with a fine effort. Man of the match was a tie between Ciaran Cartwright and rookie keeper Jack Dawson. This result does not count towards the league as North East Leeds have decided to enter the 2-team league.
